Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about AudioAlpha's market podcast α-sentiment analysis platform.
What is podcast α-sentiment analysis?
Podcast α-sentiment analysis uses AI to evaluate the tone and opinions expressed in finance and crypto podcasts. We score mentions of assets — from stocks and ETFs through to Bitcoin and Ethereum — on a scale of 0-10 based on what hosts and guests say about them.
Which podcasts does AudioAlpha track?
We track over 100 top finance and crypto podcasts, ranging from broad markets and macro shows to dedicated crypto programs like Bankless, Unchained, and The Breakdown. Coverage spans a wide range of perspectives, and more podcasts are continuously added.

What is 'Our Edge'?
An extensive statistical analysis has been published showing that our insights are statistically significant in predicting future log returns of multiple assets. Visit Our Edge to learn more about how our metrics can be useful for machine learning models and market insights.
How quickly are new episodes processed?
Most episodes are processed within an hour of publication. We are dependent on publishing delays of Apple Podcasts, which may not sync their RSS feed immediately. The daily snapshot is written every day and is typically available by 00:02 UTC at the latest.
Why does a daily snapshot sometimes change after it's published?
Podcasts don't all publish on a fixed schedule, so occasionally a relevant episode is indexed after a day's snapshot has already been written. When that happens we regenerate the affected snapshot to include the late episode. The original end-of-day build is labelled eod_utc; a regenerated one is labelled revised and its version number increments. Both versions remain available — by default you always get the latest authoritative version, but you can request a specific revision via the API. See our API & MCP Documentation for details.
